Okay... so now that I am done with all of my paperwork I need some things to keep me occupied. I decided I wanted to learn basic phrases etc... in Amharic but I don't know where to turn. I am hoping my blogland buddies can help guide me. If you happen to love some sort of cd, itunes download, dvd program etc... will you please leave me a comment.
I am really trying to find something that I can put on my iphone or listen to in the car as I think I could commit to that.

A good resource we used was "Simple Amharic for Adoptive Families". It's a little spiral book that also comes with an audio cd. I even think you can order this through Amazon. We also bought a copy of lonely planet's Ethiopian Amharic Phrasebook. This was good too but we definitely found the cd from Simple Amharic for Adoptive Families a lot more useful.
Wait a minute....did you say DONE with your paperwork??? Woo Hoo!!! DId you send it to Sacramento yet? I need that Amharic CD too :)
Amber, I'm glad you asked this question because I was wondering the same thing. Thanks to msl for the response... we'll have to get that book and audio too.
