Chef Sean Voyage

Cuddlebear went on his first field trip today and he had so much fun. He toured a golf course and then made his very own pizza. When he was making his pizza he said, "Mommy do you know my name?" I said "***" and he said, "No, mom... Chef Sean Voyage." You know like bon voyage... so cute. His pizza was delicious and he made sure he had extras to bring home for Captain and Baby Belle too!

Valentines Weekend Fun!

Happy Valentine's Weekend!!
Our Valentine's Day started off early where we went to dinner on Thursday night... a little rearranging to get a night alone :)
Friday night we had the pleasure of hanging out with Papa R, Cousins E & M and having some fun with the Wii. I don't play b/c all of the kids would surely kick my butt.
And, yesterday afternoon we went to the Sea Life Aquarium. The kids had fun making the sharks valentine's day cards. And, we ended the night with Papa R and the girls again with some more Wii action and some amazingly delicious brownies by Cousin M.

AHOPE...Special Edition T-Shirt

AHOPE does amazing work with HIV+ orphans in Ethiopia. They have designed this shirt to help raise awareness. I copied the following posting from them to help spread the word. The shirts are only $10 and they are for a wonderful cause. You can learn more about AHOPE here.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
There’s a movement growing. Everyday in the Western world someone’s eyes are opened to the orphan crisis that’s ravaging the developing countries. The problem seems so large and we seem so insignificant. We can make a difference though. By raising awareness we foster a community and as a community we can provide. We’re asking you to help us in creating that community.

World AIDS Orphan Day is May 7th. The AHOPE Store has developed a t-shirt to commemorate this day and the community of supporters that are growing year after year. Please join us in raising awareness. It’s simple. Order our newest t-shirt from the AHOPE Store for a $10 donation. (All proceeds go towards care of the children served by AHOPE.) Wear your shirt as often as possible, and especially on World AIDS Orphan Day. It will serve as a reminder to your community. It may even create a dialogue. That dialogue could open someone’s eyes. You might inspire them to do more, give more. We are asking you to join us in creating a community that is committed to orphan care.

After seeing what one little t-shirt can you might be inspired yourself. If that’s the case be sure to check out the World AIDS Orphan Day website. Here you can find further information on this grassroots campaign and how to organize an event in your area. The campaign was founded by FXB International in 2002 and continues to grow year after year.

The new t-shirts images are shown below:

Day Off..or Not??

Well, today was supposed to be a day off for me.
I was supposed to be "observing" the presidents holiday. But, it did not feel like a day off.
First we had to go to Belle's doctor appointment because she is still sick after 10 days of a hefty antibiotic from a possible sinus infection that keeps coming back every few weeks for the past two months. From there I was sent to have x-rays done for her to see what was going on. So, myself and the three kiddos waited in a waiting room for an hour to be told we could not get her x-rays because she could not go in herself and the boys could not come in nor could they sit and wait by themselves...would have been nice to know that information when we checked in. But, lucky for us super dad was nearby and came to our rescue.
Next we drove back home had lunch and laid the kids down for a quick nap. But, by the time I cleaned up after lunch... I had to drag the kids out of bed to take the boys to their new dentist. Sounds like an easy task... but, it turns out there are four different dental offices with the same name in T-Town... and it took me three times today to find the right one...ugh!!!
Not the "day off" I had in mind.

Captain's First School Award!!!

Last Friday Captain won his first school award. He received an outstanding achievement in Math award!!! He was the only student to score 100% on ALL of his Math Tests...
Way to go.
He continues to astonish us with the new skills he is learning in kindergarten. He is so cute. Yesterday, we were out in the backyard playing baseball and he said..."Mom I need to stand in a particular (enunciating very clearly each syllable) spot please so the sun is not in my eyes." I was thinking really?? Particular spot huh? I love how kids add in their new big words with pride. It is one of the most adorable things.
